We are an independent publisher of vehicle ownership budgeting education. We help everyday drivers plan and track the recurring costs of keeping a vehicle on the road.
Our story
Most drivers know their monthly payment and very little else. The rest of the cost of ownership shows up in scattered receipts: a fill-up here, a set of wipers there, a service visit that arrives with no warning.
Car Costly Notes started as a set of handwritten notes tracking exactly those costs. The notes became guides, and the guides became this website. The format never changed: one cost, one clear explanation, one example you can reuse.
